Malaga Hybrid Energy Center, located in Fresno, California, is a 96 MW simple-cycle gas turbine (CT) facility co-located with a 96 MW/96 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The center operates under a long-term PPA with Ava Community Energy Authority. It uses GE’s LM6000 aero-derivative technology, offering high flexibility and quick start-up times. A standalone BESS project with a 44 MW/176 MWh capacity is also under development, targeting a July 2030 COD
