Hanford Hybrid Energy Center, located in Hanford, California, is a 97 MW simple-cycle gas turbine (CT) facility with a 131.4 MW/131.4 MWh BESS. The facility has a long-term PPA with Silicon Valley Community Energy. It features GE’s LM6000 technology, offering high operational flexibility and updated compressor blades for efficiency. The Hanford BESS began operating in early 2025. Since energization, the hybrid solution has facilitated the avoidance of 1,648 metric tons of CO2.
